When it comes to the boots or shoes on your feet, they need to be comfortable; they also must look good, and be of good quality, Right? If they are lacking in comfort, style and quality, you may need to contact our 2017 Western States Ranch Rodeo Association National Sponsor, Twisted X Boots.
Robert, Bob, Bobby Frazier-founded Twisted X Boots in 2005. He was born in August 10, 1951 in Durant, Oklahoma. He married Jenna, and to their union were born three children, Ryan, wife Megan, Adrian, husband Darin Layne, and Robert (Robby). He has four grandchildren Abigail, Jack, Levi, and Eli.
Bob was born into a biracial family of Native American, Scotch Irish, and English heritage. “My paternal and maternal grandparents and parents ranched, farmed and were educators in Oklahoma,” he states. Growing up, Bob also had an interest in cowboy’n and was a very active participant in equine events, particularly ranch rodeos. “I rode bulls, broncs, did a little roping and sorting. You could always find me in the arena. You could say I was a cowboy kid!” Bob also has a BS in biology and a chemistry minor. Bob played college baseball, track and rodeo. “Go Oklahoma State Cowboys,” Bob says. Bob has been selling boots since 1974. He sold Laramie boots for four years, Justin Boots for twenty-five years, Ariat boots for four years and Twisted X Boots for twelve years now and counting. “I have sold a butt load of boots,” he says.
Bob responsibilities at Twisted X include product development, leather development, product design, sales, marketing, office overseer, warehouse overseer, and janitor. He is current role is leather and footwear design, Chairman.
The idea of Twisted X started at Bob and Jenna’s ranch home in Hempstead, TX, in the fall of 2004. “After working for other western boot brands and dealing with typical corporate environments, I wanted the freedom to build a true cowboy boot, made for the spur and stirrup, which there was/is a limited selection. Functional cowboy boots were my keen interest. Knowing this would be more of a niche market, I never expected the success I’ve watched happen. I am very proud of our experienced and disciplined management team, dedicated employees, and sales reps Twisted X has accumulated,” says Bob with pride.
Twisted X has been a proud sponsor of WSRRA for three years. “WSRRA and Twisted X Boots have the same goals. These goals include helping the everyday working cowboy/cowgirls around the country. Our boots are built to use and what better way than to support an association that is for the working cowboys and cowgirls,” Bob states.
When you put on your boots today, think about these three things, are they good quality, can you wear them all day and will they last. If your boots don’t measure up, then you need to contact your local Twisted X dealer, they can be found at http://www.twistedxboots.com/.
On behalf of everyone in the WSRRA, we thank Bob and his staff for all your great support and partnership with the WSRRA.
