Meet the Member Austin Glover

by Rodeo News

story by Ruth Nicolaus

The Utah High School Rodeo Association member loves to ride bulls, but he loves vehicles, too.
A resident of Roy, Utah, he started riding bulls at age fifteen and enjoyed it right away. He’s in the process of recovering from being stepped on last November. The bull stepped on his knee, and he rode through the pain at the next six rodeos, but got bucked off. Now he’s hoping to be better by the spring season.
Austin owns two vehicles: a 1995 Pontiac Grand Prix and a 2002 Ford Powerstroke. The Ford has a straight pipe exhaust, so if he’s in the mood, the neighbors can hear him coming.
Austin is a senior at Fremont High School. His favorite class is mechanics, and he is involved in FFA. He enjoys hunting whatever is in season.  He is kind-hearted and likes to help people.
After high school, he would like to become a diesel technician.
He competed at state finals last year.
He has a younger sister, Kaycie, who is a sophomore in high school and who also high school rodeos. He is the son of Zach and Stacie Glover.
