story by Jodie Calhoun

Sharon Mowry owner of Diamond S Rodeo Productions in Evergreen, Colorado has joined the Colorado Pro Rodeo Association to handle sponsorships, advertising and marketing for the upcoming 2018 season.
Prior to joining the CPRA, Sharon worked with the Mile High Rodeo Association, the host committee for the CPRA Finals, during the 2016, 2017 Finals Rodeo.
Although not a great rider and definitely not a competitor, Sharon’s love for the sport of rodeo began in 1999 when she was asked to put her skills as an event coordinator to use for the Evergreen PRCA Rodeo. She spent 17 years with the association doing everything from serving on the board to cleaning up the grounds. It was there she learned all the aspects of rodeo and went on to produce the first ever PBR in Evergreen and later to handle all sponsorships, advertising and marketing.
In addition to the Evergreen PRCA Rodeo, Sharon has worked with PRCA Wilderness Circuit, consulted on the Seward County PRCA Rodeo during its startup, doing sponsorships for Championship Bull riding, and currently is the owner/producer of the Llano Extreme Bull riding in Llano, Texas.
Prior to moving to rodeo, Sharon had a lengthy career as an Event Coordinator producing everything from trade shows to beer festivals for Universal Studio’s Orlando and Executive Director for the Great American Beer Festival.
