Texas Bronc Rider’s Association Growing Stronger Every Year

This past year was an incredible ride for the Texas Bronc Rider’s Association. We were able to expand on every level from adding a riding event, sponsorship, membership growth and exposure,” said Daryl McElroy, TBRA president. “2018 is going to be even busier, challenging and good for bronc riding nation.”
Founded in early 2015, the TBRA enters its third year of operations with forty-five (45) co-sanctioned rodeos across Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Missouri and Arkansas. As added features to five of the rodeos, they’ll be producing Sunday afternoon matinee matches featuring bareback, saddle bronc, ranch bronc riding and ladies ranch bronc riding events.
A Cut Above Buckles is back and title sponsoring five TBRA Buckle Challenge events giving TBRA members an opportunity to ride for and win jewel quality cowboy hardware trophies.
RIDE TV produced the winning reality TV series ‘Cowgirls’ around the ranch bronc riding women of the TBRA. Look for Cowgirls: Season Two being filmed during TBRA events.
“The TBRA was founded to build a platform for the riders who climb on bucking horses for a living,” said McElroy. “Michele and I never envisioned the big presence cowgirl bronc riders would become in the organization. While carrying on the initial mission of providing scholarships to high school contestants, the Cowgirls have brought us visibility, the opportunity to teach and learn from these committed young athletes and another cause to promote in women’s sports. We’re committed to integrity first and these young women represent themselves, the TBRA and the community honorably. The ladies ranch bronc riding has become part of our fabric.”
“CM Trailers has joined our growing list of corporate partners,” said McElroy. “Our partnership with Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo (FWSSC) remains strong. The 2018 TBRA Finals will feature twice the added money and be held at Watt Arena at the Will Rogers Memorial Center in Fort Worth, Texas. It’s scheduled for the second weekend in November.”
“We’re proud to announce that in our third year, we’ve attracted the contributions of board members who will continue to guide the growth and success of the TBRA. With seats held in every riding event, one representing the stock contractors and another guiding the scholarship program, we’re confident that our annual and long terms goals will be thoughtfully and aggressively met.”
