Having rodeoed since she was five, Courtney Singleton is now looking forward to continuing her rodeo career in the college ranks.
Courtney’s six year CJRA career has come to a successful close with the completion of the finals in Lamar, Colorado.  She won the first go, second in the second go, and fourth in the average in the goat tying.  She also won the second round in the ribbon roping and third in the average with her partner Trevor Schnaufer.
She ended the year third in the goat tying, third in the ribbon roping, and seventh in the mixed team roping heading standings.
Courtney is attending Otero Junior College and is in the Nursing Program. She will rodeo for coach Lindsey Sumpter and will tie goats, breakaway rope, and team rope. She received, through the CJRA, the OJC Scholarship and the Lamar Elks Scholarship.  She also is receiving the Kaiser-Permanente Scholarship.
Courtney’s goals are to keep her priorities straight by keeping her life in order and being successful. This includes qualifying for the College National Finals Rodeo in her events and completing the Nursing Program.
Her family is the most important element in her life and she cannot express enough thanks to her brother Trevor, sister Kelsey, and mom and dad Sandy and Chad for always supporting her in all her endeavors.
