Meet the Member Wyatt Christensen

Wyatt Christensen is the reigning Utah High School
Rodeo team roping header.
The eighteen year old cowboy, a resident of Plain City, Utah, team ropes and tie-down ropes and last summer, won state with Dylin Ahlstrom.
A senior at Fremont High School, he loves seeing his friends in school every day, and the best part of his day is his welding class. He has been welding since he was eleven years old, with his dad showing him how on their farm and ranch operation.
He attends high school every other day, with the alternate days being spent at Applied Tech College in Harrisville, where he studies welding. He’ll earn his certification in welding by the end of the school year.
Wyatt has completed several welding projects, including trailers, a pot-belly stove, and a dog sled (the dogs didn’t take to it, but he and his buddy hooked it up to a four-wheeler, and it works great). He’s currently building a track table for his high school.
Wyatt has been an FFA member and has qualified for state finals all three years of high school in both of his events. His sophomore year, he finished fourth in the state in the team roping, heading for Whitt Crozier. His freshman year he competed at Silver State.
This fall, he will work on a ranch and attend college after that.
He has a younger brother, Ty; the boys are the sons of Cody and Shawnee Christensen.
