Meet the Member AnnDee Belliston

story by Ruth Nicolaus

AnnDee Belliston loves acting, theater, and rodeo.
The thirteen year old cowgirl, a member of the Utah Junior High School Rodeo Association, is a barrel racer, breakaway roper, goat tyer and ribbon roper, and has been in more plays than she can remember. An actress since she was nine years old, her favorite role to play was Jane in Mary Poppins, because “I had to act happy and have a British accent. That was fun.”
AnnDee lives in Magna, Utah, and is an eighth grade student at Hunter Middle School, where she loves to see her friends each day and is involved in dance. Her school does not have a theater department, but she’s hoping to audition for the role of Molly in Annie Junior, which will play at her school. This will be the third time she’s acted in that play.
This is her first year of junior high rodeo, and she is enjoying it, especially making new friends.
When she grows up, AnnDee would like to be a professional barrel racer and actress. She admires 2014 world champion barrel racer Fallon Taylor, and has some colorful shirts like Fallon’s. Her grandma sews a lot of her western shirts, and AnnDee chooses bright colors, including peach, and for Halloween, fabric with skulls on it.
She has two older sisters: Charly, who is 21, and Marckee, who is eighteen.
She is the daughter of Troy and Corinna Belliston.
